Abstract
The course aims to provide the student with an in-depth overview on the methods of analysis and management of multimedia data. In the first part of the course, starting from the basics of image and video processing, the course will focus on the problems of motion modeling and detection, motion tracking, and object recognition, both by using monocular and multi-view systems. The second part of the course will address the topics of multimedia data management, with particular reference to the transmission and compression of audio / video signals.
